To help us be more productive, all changes that add significant new functionality, deprecate old functionality, or otherwise make significant user-visible changes must add an appropriate line/section to the CHANGES file as part of the commit. This request will eliminate the need to review six months of commit messages in order to find all the new features and changes when preparing a release.
